The Sächsische Landeskontrollverband e.V. (LKV) is the National Association for Performance and Quality Testing. The LKV was founded more than 30 years ago by farmers and dairies. Together with LKS-Landwirtschaftliche Kommunikations- und Servicegesellschaft mbH, it sees itself as a neutral, reliable and competent partner for modern, resource-conserving and at the same time performance-oriented agriculture and animal husbandry.

The Sächsische Landeskontrollverband (LKV) is responsible for:

• the milk performance test for cattle, sheep and goats
• the quality testing of raw milk - the collection of production- and breeding data for individual animals and the entire herd
• the allocation of earmarks
• the issuance of certificates of origin, accompanying documents and bovine passports, RS HIT
• the meat performance test in suckler catlle (follow the funding advice)

The Sächsische Landeskontrollverband offers in addition:

• the inspection of milking system, milk meters and milk collection trucks
• the advice on milk hygiene/milk quality, cell count advice
